The following templates are available through the pmPoint integration:

Work Management

• Work Tracker
  The Work Tracker template is designed to manage work items that exist outside the formal structure of projects, such as tasks, activities, support requests, bugs, issues etc. The Work Tracker template enables organizations to manage these work items in the same SharePoint system as their projects (for example, individuals can have My Work dashboards that show a mixture of their assigned project and non-project work items). The work items created from this template can also be synchronized with an individual's Microsoft Outlook Tasks list and can appear on an individual's calendar (in the task view).
• Work Manager
  The Work Manager template is especially useful for organizations where ‘work' can be requested from a number of different sources, whether inside or outside the organization. It can be very useful to have a central repository where ‘work requests' can be captured, filtered and then dispatched to the appropriate place for action. For example an original work request might end up as a support request or a bug or a task or an issue. The Work Manager template allows work requests to be captured in one central place and then managed to completion in a different place.


Project Management

• Issue Manager
  The Issue Manager template is designed for projects where you merely want to "manage by exception” by only tracking project status and issues related to the project in hand and do not wish to formally track other details that maybe needed for the project (e.g. actions, tasks, deliverables, risks, etc.). It is not to say that these other items are not managed on some of the projects, but it is to say that they are not tracked formally enough to be reported in a consistent manner.
• Commitment Manager
  This template is useful for a semi-structured project where you want to manage more than the issues by adding in goal and task lists, but you do not need a fully structured site with a more extensive process.
• Business Brightwork pmPoint Single Projects
  This template is useful for a range of departments to run their projects including sales, marketing, engineering, etc. It provides a well-defined structure that can be easily customized to meet the specific process and taxonomy for each department and project.
• IT Brightwork pmPoint Single Projects
  This is a fully structured site that is modeled on the Microsoft Solutions Framework v3 to provide a robust process for managing IT projects such as system implementations and upgrades. It includes a pre-defined hierarchy of phases, milestones, deliverables, tasks, issues, and risks.
• Scrum Agile
  The Scrum Template is based on the Scrum Alliance Scrum Guide. Scrum is an iterative approach to product development which encourages the breakdown of ‘projects' into finite periods called Sprints of the same length (normally 20-30 days but it can vary) with a defined deliverable due at the end of the Sprint. This template utilizes unique features in pmPoint to help provide a Scrum environment that includes Sprints, Stories, Tasks, Backlogs, Burndown charts, and all the Scrum features necessary to run a Scrum project.
• Agile Software Manager
  This is a fully structured site that models the Microsoft Solutions Framework for Agile Software Development to provide a full process environment for managing agile software projects. It includes support for the most common agile processes / deliverables (e.g. builds, bugs, etc.) and a host of deliverables for the various project iterations (personas, scenarios etc).
• Sure Step
  Available as a Standard Implementation and an Enterprise Implementation. The Standard project type is an approach for implementing Microsoft Dynamics™ solutions at a single site. This approach can also be used for multi-site organizations wherein the business objective is to develop unique solutions at each site. The Enterprise project type represents a standardized approach for implementing Microsoft Dynamics™ solutions in a global/multi-site organization wherein country/site specific unique business needs have to be factored on top of a core solution.
