NetConnect creates solutions that help people collaborate and work together from anywhere.

NetConnect was founded in 2007 to empower people and organizations with the best tools to collaborate, communicate and work together, no matter where they are in the world. NetConnect is focused on developing a service which allows users to effectively work in teams, called Team Portal.

Team Portal is a new way to host SharePoint sites and applications, by simplifying management and provisioning. Rich, out-of-the-box SharePoint functionality makes it easier to communicate and collaborate on documents, maintain task lists, implement workflows, and share information.

Team Portal also provides a framework in which SharePoint and other hosted application templates and web parts can be published. Through the Application Store, ready-made applications suited for different needs are available, including project management, team work, CRM services and embedded audio, web and video conferencing services for real time communication. Team members can access information anytime, anywhere.

Team Portal is provided as a cloud service (also described as Software as a Service (SaaS) or on demand hosted service). This allows users to access the services and applications through their web browser, thus eliminating the need for specialist IT resources or purchasing hardware or software licenses. Customers pay for licenses that they need for the period of time that they need them. Team Portal can also be installed at the customer’s premises if they have already invested in this infrastructure.

NetConnect´s strategy is to distribute this service mainly through channel partners who can use Team Portal to complement their existing offerings. Current partners include leading Microsoft independent software vendors (ISV´s) Brightwork, BPA and OfficeTalk and one of the world´s largest conferencing providers PGi (formally Premiere Global Services).

Team Portal is built on Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft´s fastest growing software. NetConnect is a Microsoft Gold Partner and a SharePoint beta partner.
